Onion Bhajeas
Ingredients
- 3 medium sized onions
- 8 tbsps chickpea flour
- 1 ½ tsps salt
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsps cumin powder
- 8-9 tbsps water
Method
Finely slice onions lengthwise.
Place in a bowl chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, chilli and salt.
Mix until batter is smooth and sticky.
Allow batter to stand for atleast 15 mins.
Add sliced onions to batter making sure they are well coated.
Heat oil in a fat fryer. Drop approx. 5-6 tbsps of battered onions one at a time. Fry until golden brown.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain off excess oil on kitchen towels.
